Dwelling Removal - Blair Street

Murray River Council has purchased the property of 8 Blair Street, Moama, for the purpose of developing the site into an off-street car park. This new car park will support the redevelopment of Meninya Street by increasing available parking bays for the community and businesses. The purchase was driven by community and Council feedback during the consultation process for the Meninya Street Project.

Prior to the development taking place, the residential dwelling located on the property requires removal from the site by an experienced property removalist.

The residential dwelling, which consists of three bedrooms including some minor modernisation's, will be available for inspection and removal from site from 23rd October, 2024.

The building will be listed for the sale price of $1 and will be offered to the first buyer who meets the requirements outlined below. The sale only relates to the building and does not include an ancillary items such as fencing, shedding, unfixed structures or the lot itself.

The successful party will be required to pay all costs and fees associated with the removal of the building from the site including removal fees, traffic management, permits, approvals and other costs. Council will ensure that services are disconnected including Power, Water, Sewer and Gas, prior to the removal date.

Please note:

  • Inspections must be organised with a nominated Council representative.
  • This process will be run on a "first in, first served" basis.
  • The property must be removed from the site prior to 20 December, 2024.


Reminder: The successful party will be the first submitted Expression of Interest form (below) that fully complies with all criteria. Payment will not be required until the agreement is finalised and and contract is in place.

Council will contact the successful applicant to organise the property viewing.

  • Proposed property removal date
  • Tick Box * – Confirmation you understand for the $1 fee, you are committing to the removal of the building from the property prior to 20/12/2024 if you are successful in your EOI.

  • Trading Name and ABN
  • Insurance (Public Liability and Public Indemnity)
  • Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
  • Relevant licenses and tickets for the building removal.


Terms:

By submitting an Expression of Interest, the purchaser acknowledges and accepts responsibility for all fees associated with the removal of the building from site as well as any fees charges associated with access, removal, traffic control and temporary works or modifications to the building. The purchaser also acknowledges that the price of $1 related to the Weatherboard building itself, and does not give right to any land ownership or other buildings located on the lot including unfixed items. The purchaser agrees to removing the building by the 20th of December, 2024 unless otherwise agreed to by Council.
