Murray Downs Nature Reserve Masterplan

Consultation has concluded

The consultation period has concluded

The Murray Downs Nature Reserve Masterplan looks to deliver a recreation space for the whole community, whilst also showcasing the natural environment. It was developed following a period of consultation with the the Murray Downs community where they told us what they would like to see.

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback.

The final design plan can be viewed by heading to the 'key documents' tab to the right.

As reported, we have been successful in receiving funding for construction of the boat ramp and associated infrastructure and this will now form stage one of the project. The rest of the developments will be staged as funding becomes available.

You can register or sign in to stay connected with this project.

  • We would like to see Council make an effort to improve, and then care for, the median strips within the existing estates at Murray Downs. Trees were removed from entry at Sandpiper Drive three years ago, but stumps remain. Surrounded by bare ground. Other median strips are no better and need attending to.

Gerald Lanigan asked over 4 years ago

Thanks for the comments. Our Parks and Gardens Team have confirmed that the medians in question are on the works program for the next month. Council staff are assessing currently and will be engaging a contractor to assist with the tidy up works and re-landscaping.
