Community Recovery Support – October 2022 Flood Event

Murray River Council is continuing to support our community in its recovery from the October 2022 flood event with the appointment of a Community Recovery Officer (CRO).

This position is fully funded by NSW Reconstruction Authority.

Our CRO will work with communities impacted by the 2022 flood event to develop community plans and implement recovery initiatives.

These initiatives may include community events, workshops, mental health support measures and community resilience projects.

Meet our CRO

As part of their early work, our Community Recovery Officer is undertaking a series of ‘meet and greets’ to identify key projects and events that could support residents’ and businesses’ ongoing recovery.

The CRO would like to meet with community members to hear about their experiences from the 2022 flood event and get any relevant feedback.

Remember: just because your toes didn’t get wet, doesn’t mean we don't want to hear from you. Many were impacted by road closures, school and workplace closures or even things like freight delay. Every experience is important.
