Registrations for Public Hearing open!

CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.

The extended public consultation period for the planning proposal has now concluded. Thank you to all those who have shared their thoughts with us.

The next step is to hold a Public Hearing to continue the conversation about the reclassification of the community land associated with this planning proposal. We will be holding the Hearing on Monday 19th April 2021 at 6pm in the Tataila Room of the Rich River Golf Club. This forum will be chaired by an independent facilitator who is not associated with or employed by Council. This is an opportunity for you to share your feedback specifically on the reclassification "Lawry Park" with someone external to Council. The facilitator will seek your thoughts at the forum and then complete a report with their findings. Their report will then be submitted to Council, and we will make that report available to the community within 4 days of receiving it. The hearing will be conducted in a fairly informal manner and attendees will be encouraged to actively participate in the forum. In addition, if you would like the opportunity to formally present at the Hearing, that option is also available. If you wish to present, please select that option when prompted as part of your registration.

All information regarding this proposal is available in the documents menu to your right and we have also compiled an 'information pack' to provide some background on the role of a Public Hearing.

To ensure community safety is the top priority, the forum will be conducted in a COVID safe manner and adhere to ‘one person per 2m2’ social distancing requirements. Attendance will be capped at 100 and all attendees will be required to comply with the Rich River Golf Club’s requirements for entry, and COVID safe distancing protocols at all times.

To attend this Hearing, you must first register, so please use the tool below, call Council on 1300 087 004, or send an email to admin@murrayriver.nsw.gov.au requesting to be registered for the public hearing. Registrations for the hearing will close at 4pm Friday 16th April 2021. We will be unable to accept any registrations passed that time.

As places will be capped, priority will be provided to the first 100 people to register. Council will be in contact to confirm your registration has been successful. Please note that each person in attendance requires a separate registration.

To comply with our COVID safe requirements, we will not be admitting any person on the night who has not received a confirmed registration, so please be sure to register your interest if you wish to attend.

We may digitally record the event (for our records only- it will not be publicly released) and we may also be taking some photos on the night.
