Consultation has concluded

Anyone registered on the electoral role in Murray River Council MUST turn out to vote in a referendum on whether to abolish the council’s three wards and become an undivided council area. The current wards each have representation from 3 councillors. If it were to become an undivided area, electoral boundaries would be removed, and the 9 councillor seats could be elected from anywhere in the municipality

Remember, voting is compulsory.

Tip: To find voting locations, enter your address details in the address finder at the top of the page and it will bring up voting locations on a map down the page a little further. If your address does not register, you can also scroll down the page and select the 'ward' details. This will also bring up voting locations on a map specific to your ward.

    Register for candidate workshops

    We will be hosting free briefing workshops for potential Council candidates, focusing on the experience of a Councillor.

    The aim of the sessions is for people to get a better understanding of what is required of a Councillor.

    There is an online option and an in-person option. You only need to attend one.
