Biosecurity Feedback forms

Biosecurity Property Inspections play an important measure in assisting Council to monitor and manage Priory Weeds across the region and aims to prevent incursions of new weeds into our area.

Our Authorised Officer often attend properties and carry out inspections which are focused on:

  • identifying weeds and to provide education and guidance.
  • offering community members an opportunity to ask questions about weed control, including what species to look for, where they typically occur, and the best times of year to monitor them.
  • sharing local knowledge about weed species of concern and providing resources to assist with their management.
  • building relationships with landholders and fostering collaboration opportunities for managing weeds effectively.
  • supporting the statewide goals outlined in the Weed Action Plan (WAP): preventing the incursion and establishment of new and emerging weeds.
  • gathering information about local weed issues is an important part of our work, as it helps us understand challenges in your area.
  • Inspections are legislated and form part of our commitment to early prevention and control opportunities
